This quilt pattern from Stephanie Soebbing of Quilt Addicts Anonymous can be made in the following sizes: Crib (34″ x 44″), Lap (59″ x 62″), Twin (59″ x 89″), and King (104″ x 107″).
It’s Stashin’ with Stephanie time where we create a new fat quarter-friendly pattern to go with this month’s subscription fabric bundle.
This month we’ve got a super fast quilt that is perfect for showing off your favorite fabrics that you don’t want to cut up too small. We’re creating four-at-a-time flying geese and topping off a square.
We’re using Aerial by Tamara Kate for Windham Fabrics for this month’s design. I love the fun bright colors that are perfect for spring and the butterflies look great floating up into the sky.
I used the pretty bigger designs for the squares and the smaller prints for the flying geese to help bring out the colors in the bigger prints. Basically once you get your flying geese done, you’re ready to complete your block. It is so fast.
And I walk you through the flying geese step-by-step to make sure you know exactly how to make them and where things might go wrong so they come out right every time.
We also avoid matching any points by including sashing strips between the blocks and vertical rows. So you can sew your quilt top together very quickly too!
