I have a bunch of these and I just love them for baking. One is always hanging over my oven handle so it looks cute in my kitchen and I never have to go searching for a second pot holder.
In the tutorial and the FREE pattern to go with it, I show you how to use a combination of batting and Insul-Bright to make your Double Oven Mitt heat-reflective so your hand won’t burn.

Then we cover how to use the template to create the curved ends, create continuous bias binding the fits perfectly around the edges and stitch it in place for an adorable finished look.
Make one for you, or get started early on holiday gifts. If you’re making it with your stash, you need:
- 1/2 yard for the main fabric
- 1/2 yard for the lining
- Fat quarter for the binding
- 1/2 yard Insul-Bright
- Batting scraps
- 2 1/2-inch Double Fold Bias Tape Maker
- Binding Clips (super useful, but optional)
