The pattern is much easier than it looks. You’ll create large half square triangles from squares, then slice them into strips to create the peaked design. Vintage Hawaiian combines Stephanie Soebbing of Quilt Addicts Anonymous’ love of mid-century modern with batik. The designs in Vintage Hawaiian draw on 1950s Hawaiian clothing purchased at Stephanie’s favorite antique shop Fred & Ethel’s. The colors though, are entirely modern, pushing batik to be as clear and neon as possible.
