Quilt Addicts Anonymous has always been about education. From our early days as a blog, to our YouTube videos that reach thousands and in our in-store classes.
We never cancel classes due to low attendance, and that means the majority of classes lose money due to low signups that do not cover the cost of instructor time and supplies we order to have on hand. But we are committed to providing quality sewing, knitting and crochet classes to the Quad Cities, so as long as at least one person signs up, the class is on.
However, if you miss a class and are not eligible for a makeup session as outlined below, we are not able to absorb the cost of class makeup sessions. So please plan accordingly if you sign up for a class.
Cancellations/Refunds for single session classes
Any cancellations or class no-shows made within 48 hours of the class date will not be eligible for a refund or make-up session. This has been our policy since the first day we opened.
We understand that life happens, so in the event severe weather or a major unplanned life event prevents you from coming to class, get in touch with us and we will make an exception.
Cancellations/Refunds for multi session classes
The 48 hour cancellation rule for single session classes also applies to multi session classes.
If you are attending a multi-session class and can’t make one session, you can get a catch up lesson during our Friday open sews between noon and 8 p.m. You must coordinate with your instructor on the time for the makeup session. If there are multiple students who require a makeup lesson, you will be expected to all meet at the same time.
Only one makeup session will be allowed per multisession class. There will be no refunds if you miss a session of a multisession class. If you plan to miss more than one class in a multisession class, you should wait for the next time the class is offered and see if that session works better with your schedule.
