The Star Sign Quilt Kit includes fabric for the quilt top and binding featuring fabric from Clothworks Fabrics as shown in the first image featuring a digital version of the quilt. The original fabric used in the video and pattern cover is sold out and we cannot get more. The new version includes several fabrics from Laurel Burch, plus some stars and heavenly swirls and captures the same fade from black to light gray as the original. Refunds will not be given to customers who do not read this paragraph and think they are receiving a kit with the original fabric.
Pre-orders will be accepted until Sunday, February 7, 2021. We expect to ship Star Sign Quilt Kits by February 20, 2021.

I am in love with this month’s Stashin’ with Stephanie pattern, Star Sign. It is a combination of two of my favorite blocks, a classic star and log cabin.
In the video tutorial I show you how to get your points absolutely perfect with four-at-a-time flying geese. Then we go over adding the log cabin strips to create this fun block combo.
The stars are made in three different sizes and turned in different orientations in the block layout to give it that modern look and make it look a little bit like the night sky.
The pattern to go with this pattern includes cutting instructions for an economical way of cutting the log cabin strips, and gives suggestions for how to make it work if you want to create the fade like I did for my quilt.
And if you love the look of the fade, we made sure to include enough fat quarters in the finishing kit so that you will be able to create one too. It takes some planning when you cut, but it is so worth it.
