The Charm Pack Table runner is a great beginner project. Stephanie Soebbing made dozens for gifts when she was a new quilter. They are small, quick and a great way to practice all the skills you need to take on a bigger project.
But you can also make this project by cutting your own 5-inch squares from fat quarters. The final result will only include four fabrics, so it won’t be as scrappy as using a charm pack. But it is a great way to reduce the cost of making the project because fat quarters cost less per square inch than charm packs.
The Charm Pack Table runner kit includes four fat quarters to create your own 5-inch squares, as well as binding and backing fabric. Just add batting, thread and the FREE Charm Pack Table Runner pattern and you’ll be able to create one large or two small table runners.
Each Table Runner Kit includes fabric, backing and binding to make one 45″ x 18″ or two 31.5″ x 13.5″ table runners.
