Learn to turn your T-shirts into a quilt! This is a great way to give new life to shirts you have saved for sentimental reasons, but don’t wear anymore, and makes a great gift.
In class you’ll learn how to cut your T-shirts, apply interfacing to stabilize the knit fabric for quilting and sew on sashing to get them ready to go into a quilt. When you finish class, you will have all the skills needed to turn your favorite T-shirts into a treasured quilt for you or for a fabulous graduation, birthday or Christmas gift.
This project is beginner-friendly, you just need to be able to sew a quarter-inch seam and you will be good to go.
This class is taught by Stephanie Soebbing, Quilt Addicts Anonymous owner. Her first YouTube video tutorial series was on how to make a T-shirt quilt and the videos have been viewed nearly 350,000 times. But you get something that the 70,000 viewers don’t the chance to learn in person right here in the Quad Cities.
