This Stashin’ with Stephanie pattern includes all of my favorite techniques for making stunning quilts quickly and easily. We’ll be strip piecing and making half square triangles from squares. Plus I show you in the video tutorial my tips for getting perfect joins every time so your half square triangles line up perfectly to create that giant X in the design.
The fabric we used for this project is Bloom Bloom Butterfly by RJR Studio which is so, so pretty. Bloom Bloom Butterfly, our February 2020 Stashin’ with Stephanie fabric, is a fabulous combination of watercolor-like images of butterflies and flowers with bold, vibrant colors.
Each fabric pushes the boundaries of the number of inks that can be used in traditional rotary screen-printed fabric, so each one offers a big punch of colors. When the bold hues are combined with the soft images, it just is a fabulous combination.
