Knitting Skill Builder Series – Casting On, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 20

Learn to knit for the first time, or improve your skills with our new Knitting Skill Builder Series! This series of classes will walk you through the basics of knitting in short, 2-hour classes. Sign up for one or all of the classes and become a knitting pro.

In the Casting On lesson, Courtney Walters will teach four different cast on methods: long tail, reverse loop, knitted and cable. She’ll also talk about the situations you may want to use each method in.

Supply list:

• Yarn (we suggest a thicker weight so it is easy to see what you are doing)
• Needles appropriately sized for your yarn

The classes are at Quilt Addicts Anonymous, 1232 30th St., Rock Island, IL. You must purchase the class in order to sign up. Since space is limited, cancellations made within 48 hours of the class will not be refunded.
