Sew Your Own Tunic! with Barb Brandt (three sessions)

Three Wednesday sessions from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the following dates: June 12, July 17 and July 31. There will be homework in between courses.

Tunics are a fabulous item to add to your wardrobe. They hang past the hips, and fit loosely, making it perfect for any body type and are fabulous to wear with leggings or a cute pair of shorts in the summertime. And in the Sew Your Own Tunic! class with Barb Brandt, you will learn how to create a tunic that fits your body perfectly.

Over the three sessions class, Barb Brandt will walk you step-by-step through making your first tunic from “The Tunic Bible” from start to finish. In session one you will cover the pattern options available in “The Tunic Bible,” how to make fit adjustments to get the pattern to fit your body exactly, transfering those adjustments to the pattern and cutting. In session two you will construct the placket, tunic body, sleeves (if desired) and decorative cuffs. In the third session you will cover installing set in sleeves, hemming, decorative bands and finishing.

The course costs $60 for 6 hours of instruction from Barb, and you may need to purchase additional supplies. The course fee does not include the cost of fabric or supplies.
