Join the Burst Block of the Month program from Quilt Addicts Anonymous. Designed by Stephanie Soebbing, Burst is Clothwork’s 2017 Block of the Month, featuring Fresh Batiks. The finished quilt measures 72-inches square. Instructions are included for an optional border to increase the size to 84-inches square.
The quilt may look difficult, but if you can sew a half-square triangle, you can complete this quilt. The complicated look comes from the setting and color changes, not the techniques used to make it. You will be able to watch free HD video tutorials on how to make each block, so you can follow along and see exactly how to make the quilt.
Block of the Month participants will receive a full-color pattern book filled with cutting instructions, layout diagrams and swatch charts for the dark and light colorway. This book is a $29.99 value, but when you sign up for the Burst Block of the Month before October 31, 2017, you will get it as part of your $25 sign up fee, saving you money.
Block of the Month participants can receive fabric for Burst in six monthly installments. This will help keep the cost of the Block of the Month manageable, allowing you to make a large quilt for six payments of $24.99.
Sign-ups for the Burst Block of the Month close on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, or when all 30 slots have been sold out. You have to sign up by then in order to participate in this Block of the Month program. No exceptions.
The pattern book and fabric for the first block will ship in late November 2017. Fabric for blocks two through six, will ship in the last week of the month through April 2018.
