Don’t let the complicated look of this quilt fool you. It is simple and fast to create. You just need an equilateral triangle ruler like the Clearview Triangle and you’ll be ready to whip up your own Rainbow Layer Cake.
This pattern utilizes strip piecing and rows are sewn together on the diagonal so there are no fancy templates to use or complicated Y-seams. Just stitch, cut and go.
You don’t really even have to think about fabric placement. Just sew the layer cake and jelly roll strips together in the order they were packaged to recreate the look of the color changes in a jelly roll in your quilt.
